You're about to travel to MonCon, the one-of-a-kind geek culture convention! Taking place on remote Mondoton Island, MonCon is a twenty-four hour event that's sure to please even the most seasoned convention goers. You may think you've seen everything the convention scene has to offer, but you've never gone to a con like MonCon.
In MonCon, you will take control of Joey, a young teenager struggling with social anxiety. Joey has decided to attend MonCon in the hopes of meeting his hero, legendary game designer Mr. Miyashiro, and getting an autograph.
But for Joey, a normal conversation feels like a fight to the death. Through his eyes, ordinary people transform into hideous monsters that must be verbally battled to survive. He'll have to spar with dozens of monstrous personalities in a psychedelic, rhythm-based battle system - at least, that's how it seems in his own mind...
But Joey's not alone. With the help of a boisterous self-described geek named Karl, and a fiery investigative podcaster named Marnie, Joey will start to overcome his social hang-ups, and learn that not everyone you meet is a monster.

What if I'm socially anxious? Will I still be able to enjoy MonCon?
MonCon is all about overcoming the fear of meeting new people. There are over 120 people attending MonCon this year. As a wise man once said, "There are no strangers here... only friends you haven't met yet."
What kinds of amenities are provided?
The Mondoton Hotel boasts some of the finest accommodations in this hemisphere. And ample food will be available throughout the con - check out any of the food trucks parked on the lawn, or pick up some lunch in the food court upstairs!
Will I be able to meet Mr. Miyashiro?
Mr. Miyashiro will be signing autographs for the morning. If you don't make it through the line in time, don't forget to check out one of the other celebrity game designers in attendance - we're sure they would love to say hello too!
Am I guaranteed a chance to play Run Boy 3D?
While we hope that everyone gets a chance to play Mondoton's new game, the number of virtual reality helmets are limited, and players will be able to play Run Boy 3D on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Is virtual reality safe?
Mondoton's virtual reality helmet design has been extensively tested by a wide variety of volunteer participants, and the helmet has been approved by a litany of health and product safety organizations. The only thing you should have to be afraid of while playing Run Boy 3D is those virtual monsters running straight towards you!
Will Mondoton's main competitor be attending the event?
Mondoton's major competitor, Sadagemu, will not be making an appearance at this year's event, despite an open invitation. The founder of Sadagemu has declined to comment.
